RMS Custom Roles and Permissions







Team: A team is a group of users. 

For example: 
The team for RMS ID 1924 consists of 4 team members. 
The team members are: Store Rep, Dealer Principal, Account Manager and Account Admim

Creating a Custom Role

To create a custom role, click the  icon in the top right corner of the homepage, under the “Systems” category, select “Roles & Policies”

From this screen, you can begin creating a custom role: Click “+ New Role”

To rename a role: Double click the name —> Highlight the name —> Press delete on the keyboard —> Type in desired name

Creating a Custom Policy

Now that a role is created, policies need to be created and assigned to the role. To create a new policy: Click “+ New Policy” —> Select the policy —> Select the permissions to assign to the policy

You can rename the policy with the same steps as renaming a role: Double click the name —> Highlight the name —> Press delete on the keyboard —> Type in desired name

Assigning Policies to a Role

Once policies have been created, you can assign policies to a role by:

Selecting the role —> Check policies to apply 
Multiple policies can be applied to a single role.

Create a New User

To create a new user: 

Users —> Click  icon —> Click “New User”

Create a New User & Assigning Roles

Enter minimum details: “Name”, “Country”, “State” —> Click “System Settings” —> Select “Role”, “language”, “User ID” and “Password” —> Click “Create”

NOTE: “User ID” must be unique and not shared across any existing locations or users.

Create a Team

A team is a group of users assigned to a specific location. Users can be assigned to multiple teams across multiple locations. To add users to a location: 

Locations —> Select a location —> Click “Teams” —-> Search for users to add to the team

Create a Team

Once all users are assigned to the team, users need to be assigned to a hierarchy in the specific location. To do this:

From the dropdown menu —> Select users for the role in the specific location —> Repeat until all users are assigned
