Terms

The following terms will be used throughout this user guide.

Localized Planogramming: You are able to filter the stores that will be included in your allocation by selecting specific criteria. The criteria is set up to allow for narrowing down the number of stores included in the allocation as you work though it - Starting with all locations included and as criteria is selected the stores in the allocation become less based on the selected criteria.

Zone: Zones are used to differentiate fixtures in the store by their location, messages they should carry, position etc. Zones are "attached" to Fixtures.

Priority: Priorities are subsections of a Zone. Priorities allow a user to prioritize fixtures within a single zone to indicate the order of importance.

Channel: Channels categorize and define locations by different ownerships. NOTE: Channels can be broken down by different store designs types, called concepts.

Corporate Channel: Location is owned by the corporation.

Dealer Channel: Location is a third party ownership location entirely dedicated to the brand.

Retail Channel: Location is a third party owned location with a segment/ fixture dedicated to the brand.

RMS IDs: The identifying number automatically generated by RMS, used to identify the account. RMS IDs are completely unique, meaning they are not repeated between any locations or users.

Store number: The identifying number you assign to the store, may contain numbers and letters. Store numbers should be unique; failure to do so may cause errors in allocation, as repeat store numbers will not be detected by the system.

Labels:   are specific properties that can attributed to a store or multiple stores. For example: Mall Store, Street Store, High Ceilings, Close to School etc.

Allocation: Specific Locations
While creating your allocation, you will select Localized. This is will expand your page to provide you access to the criteria you will use to determine which stores are included in the allocation.

Localized Marketing: Criteria Filters

Starting with all your stores filters can be applied narrow the scope of your allocation. There are four groups of criteria that these filters are broken into as identified below.

Criteria Filter Details

1. Location Profile and Location Filter

Location Profile:

Are created filters based on external data that can be saved and applied to any Allocation.

Location Filters:

Are created filters based on Provinces / States, channels, labels, fixtures and or zones.   Once the criteria for this filter has been established it can be saved and applied to any Allocation.

To create location profiles and filters, please refer to the Location Set Up

2. Fixtures & Zones

Fixture Filter allows you to filter stores based on one or multiple Fixtures regardless of the Zone(s) the fixture maybe in.

Zones are a subsection of Fixtures.

Scenarios :
using the Zone filter by itself allows you to filter stores based solely on Zone(s) that meet the criteria.

If you have applied a Fixture(s) filter and then add a Zone(s) filter the system will only show stores that have the  Fixture(s) in the identified Zone(s).

To add Fixtures  and Zones to the system, please refer to the Fixtures User Guide

To assign Zones to fixtures, please refer to the Fixtures User Guide.

3. Priority

Priorities are subsection of Zones.

Scenarios :
using the Priority filter by itself allows you to filter stores based solely the Priority(s) criteria.

If you have applied a Fixture(s) filter and or Zone(s) filter with a Priority(s) filter - the system will only show stores that have the  Fixture(s) in the identified Zone(s) that are in the filter Priority.

And = Fixtures must be in P1 and P2
OR = Fixtures can be in P1 or P2
Only = Fixtures only in P1

To add zones to the system, please refer to the Entities User Guide.
To assign Zones to fixtures, please refer to the Fixtures User Guide.
